Central Junior College and High School Programs

Complete programs for the commencement exercises for Central Junior college and high school have been announced.

Junior College

Wednesday of this week, at 8 p. m. Central Junior college graduates will have their commencement in the school patio, the program opening with the processional of the graduates. Dr. George W. Thomas, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will deliver the invocation after which the glee club will be heard in the lovely "The Legend" (Tschaikowsky).

"What is Americanism?" is the subject for the address to be delivered by Dr. Walter R. Hepner, president of San Diego State college.

George Neves will present as a trumpet solo, "The White Dove" (Franz Lehar) after which Roy H. Womack, for the board of trustees, will present the graduates.

The school orchestra will play the overture from "Zampa" (Herold) after which the Rev. Mr. Harold E. Doty, pastor of the First Baptist church will pronounce benediction, the program closing with the recessional.

High School

For the high school graduates, commencement night is Friday of this week, the exercises starting at 8 o'clock in the city stadium.

This program also will begin with the processional of the graduates followed by the invocation to be delivered by Dr. W. A. McCleneghan, pastor of the Methodist church.

The glee club will sing Gounod's "Ave Maria" after which Arthur F. Corey, in charge of public relations for the California Teachers' association will speak on "Minding Your Own Business."

Jeanne Criss will be heard in a violin solo, "Scene de Ballet" (Ch. de Beriot) after which the presentation of diplomas will be made by C. E. Sones for the board of trustees.

Closing numbers on the program includes the orchestra's playing of the famous Ravel "Bolero," the benediction by the Rev. Mr. R. C. Rogers of the church of the Nazarene, and the recessional.
