MILITARY MOVEMENTS.—This has been peculiarly a week of military movements. The new regiments have been rushing to the seat of war, looking in upon us for an hour or two for refreshments, on their way. The regiments which have passed through our city since last Saturday are the 18th Maine Volunteers, Col. Daniel Chaplin. 9th New Hampshire Vols., Col. Enoch B. Fellows. 14th Connecticut Vols., Col. Dwight Morris. 38th Massachusetts Vols., Col. Timothy Ingraham. 19th Maine Vols., Col. Frederick D. Sewall. 15th Connecticut Vols., Col. Dexter Wright. 110th New York Vols., Col. DeWitt C. Littlejohn. 120th New York Vols., Col. George H. Sharp. 113th New York Vols., Col. Simeon Sammons. 16th Connecticut Vols., Col. Frank Beach. 106th New York Vols., Col. Judd. The 125th regiment from Troy; the 121st, from Albany, and the 122d from Syracuse, are also on the move towards the South. Deputy U. S. Marshal Lee is now raising a company for the Third Regiment of the Metropolitan Guard. Capt. Lee's headquarters are at the U. S. Marshal's office, No. 41 Chambers street. He has a recruiting office at Castle Garden. On Thursday evening some 500 troops belonging to the 13th New Jersey regiment, now encamped at Newark, left camp and scattered in all directions. They were under orders to leave for Washington at the time. They desired to get passes to see their friends before leaving, but were refused; hence the stampede. To enable persons to see the Stanton Legion, there will be trains running hourly from Vanderbilt Landing to Camp New Dorp, Staten Island. There will be guard mounting at 8 A. M., inspection at 9 A. M., and dress-parade at 4 P. M. Over 700 men in camp will be on parade.
