PORTSMOUTH.

We hear from Boston, that last Monday Afternoon the following melancholy Accident happened at a House at the North Part of the Town, viz. A Boy about nine Years old took a Gun from behind a Door, which was loaded with Swan Shot (left there by a careless Person) and snapp'd it at some Boys which were in the Yard, but did not go off; he then turn'd about and snapp'd it again, when it went off, and wounded three Ladies, who were drinking Tea in the next Room, one of them in such a terrible Manner, that she died in a few Hours: the other two we hear are like to do well.
