The cider barrel organ sneers at the call for our meeting, and among other matters, speaks of its having been signed by persons who are not voters, and by boys. We should very much like to know, how many of the dandy whigs who congregate in the log cabin and the town house, to hold their nightly powwows would have been voters under the Rhode Island laws, but for the portion of hard earnings sponged out of these same hard fisted working men who are not voters. We know of no boys who have signed the call, except such elderly boys as are not to be humbugged with the boyish paraphernalia of whiggery, such as hard cider, gourd shells, coon skins, pewter medals, log cabin beer pins, and rowdy Tippecanoe ditties. If any boys are among the number who have not been bred to better habits and manners than some groton whig gentlemen we wot of, we hope their parents will come with them, to cuff their ears occasionally, or to give them a taste of the cow skin.
Along article on the late barefaced federal whig frauds in Baltimore, Pennsylvania, &c. &c. is prepared, but unavoidably deferred.
