MAY ACCEPT MEN FOR ARMY AVIATION WORK

Local army recruiting offices have been authorized by the state headquarters to accept men for the aviation branch of the signal corps, embracing mechanics, clerks, chauffeurs, and various other fields of action.

When the announcement of the opening of the aviation section was first made a number of men responded at once, and the local men who are in this service are apparently well pleased with their prospects for advancement. On this account it is expected that the reopening of the service will prove of interest in Pensacola, and that more men from this city will enlist for the aviation section.

As the second draft has been announced for October 17, in Escambia county, the opening of the aviation section affords those who are subject to draft, an opportunity to enlist voluntarily in one of the most desirable branches of the service.
