Short Brothers Here to Re-Survey City Streets

At a special meeting of the City Council held yesterday noon, proposed re-survey of city streets, alleys etc. of the City of Nome by John and Don Short was accepted and has already started.

The original survey of 1904 and the re-survey in the burned area in 1935 will be incorporated and a complete new city plat will be drawn up.

The city agreement with the Short Brothers will include the construction of permanent concrete street markers with one or more corners on every block and will include the labor, maps and all essentials for the work which is expected to take over three months.

The new plat when completed will indicate the positions of all monuments and bearings and distances, giving dimensions of blocks, lots, streets and alleys, in such a manner that further computation will not be necessary to establish any lot corner.
