ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR STATE SENATE
Ralph G. Burgbacher, developer of the Park Central Shopping City and numerous housing and commercial projects in Maricopa County, has announced his candidacy for state senator on the Republican ticket.
A resident of Phoenix for 12 years, Burgbacher moved from Los Angeles, where he was active in construction and investment enterprises.
A native of San Francisco, Burgbacher said he entered the senatorial race because he believes that businessmen should take an active interest in politics at all levels of government.
A former president of the Phoenix Association of Home Builders, he is active in many civic and business organizations, including the Arizona State University Foundation, YWCA advisory board, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital. He is also a member of the Phoenix streets advisory committee, and a past vice-president of the Maricopa Taxpayers Association.
