LEXINGTON, KEN., OCT. 30.
Twelve of the slaves concerned in the murder of Messrs. Stone and others, have been tried in Breckenridge county. Seven of the number were acquitted, and five found guilty, and condemned to be hanged on the 29th Nov. The Paris Citizen states, that all the slaves have been apprehended except one or two; forty-seven have been sold, and the remainder, except the five, brought back to Bourbon. The public Treasury, we believe, will not be taxed with the value of the five condemned slaves. The act of the Legislature on the subject, makes an exception of those slaves that are executed for felony committed while passing through the state to the Mississippi country as merchandise.--Reporter.
