Full Text

Music Hall was crowded last night upon the occasion of the last complimentary rehearsal this season of the Alexandria Musical Association. Every number on the programme was well selected and, of course, admirably rendered. A characteristic selection, "Cupid's Dream," for orchestra, was loudly applauded, as was also "Military March No. 6." for reed and brass instruments, dedicated by its composer, Prof. F. L. Scharf, to the Alexandria Musical Association and who, in compliment to the association, waved the baton at its rendition. The season has been a most successful one, and the many who have been so delightfully entertained owe much to our talented band of amateurs and its efficient musical director, Mr. P. M. K. Baldwin.
