Fearful Runaway Accident. On Friday morning last our city was the scene of a fearful runaway accident which came near being accompanied by fatal results. The team of Mr. Horatio Snow was standing near the Catholic Church, when the horses became frightened at an umbrella raised by a lady passing, and breaking loose ran at a furious rate towards the bridge, where was standing the vegetable wagon of Mr. Brandis, a resident of the 5th ward, and in which were seated Mr. Brandis, and a boy whose name we have not learned. The horses, attempted to leap across the wagon, and the pole struck the occupants, throwing them out in the collision. Mr. Brandis and the boy were thought to be fatally hurt, and were carried to the store of Mr. E. Wiggenhorn, where medical attendance was soon called. They were found to have received severe internal injuries, but at last advices they were both on a fair way of recovery.
