All colored World War veterans of Wars I and II are invited to participate in the homecoming program Thursday. Veterans and Legionnaires are asked to register at nine o'clock at the American Legion hall on Montgomery street. They are also asked to form for the parade on the south side of Young avenue facing Garnett street in columns of eight. Mothers of all veterans are also invited to ride in the parade. Letters have been sent to all veterans whose addresses are known, according to Dr. J. D. Hawkins, chairman, but all veterans are invited to participate. A full day of entertainment is being planned, to culminate Thursday night with a dance at the National Guard armory at nine o'clock. All veterans will be admitted free.
