Watertown, N. Y. Feb. 18-(AP).-

Two trainmen were killed and about 20 persons injured early today when a New York Central railroad passenger train from New York City ran head on into a freight train near the Castorland station near here.

The dead are:

WILL BELL, engineman and RICHARD QUINN, fireman of the passenger train. Two locomotives were pulling the freight but the crews jumped to safety. Two mail cars on the passenger train were toppled into a ditch and George Askmore, mail clerk was injured, possibly internally.

Several passengers were among the others injured.
