Full Text
He is a smart young man, Mr. Frizzle is, that writes letters for the Green Bay Republican. Speaking of Southport he says: "From its locality, being upon the southern border of Wisconsin and in immediate proximity to the state of Illinois. I am led to believe it will never be a very populous town." Here is a reason for you. Mr. Frizzle probably thinks that we have a wall similar to the Chinese wall, separating us from Illinois and preventing all intercourse. He will be surprised to learn that people sometimes drive their produce across the line to a market in the territory, and take back in return the goods they require.
