Full Text

ENLARGED GERARD.

The Addition Is Now in Course of Construction.

E. M. Worden is having the addition to the Gerard hotel built as rapidly as the work can be rushed. The foundation has been built this week and the superstructure will follow at once. This addition means an increase of twenty-six rooms—more than doubling the capacity of the hotel. When completed, it will be the largest hotel in the city with a location specially attractive to summering people.

This suggests again the advisability of an effort to popularizing the city as a place for summer outing. Ladysmith and vicinity have many attractions not found at other points and plenty to make it a popular outing point.

Beside the pleasant features of an agreeable sojourn, the fact could be advertised that visitors will find conditions materially advantageous to those seeking opportunities for investment.
