BATTLE SCENE SHIFTS
NEW YORK, Dec. 26, (AP)--The
scene of the battle of the century,
the Culbertson-Lenz bridge battle
has been shifted from the Culbert-
sons' suite in the Chatham Hotel
to the Lenz apartment of the
Waldorf-Astoria. That the place of
the contest be staged first in the
Cubertson rooms and then in the
Lenz apartment was a part of the
original contract
The Culbertsons, exponents
of
the so-called approach forcing sys-
tem, were still in the lead Wednes-
day evening at the end of the 85th
rubber with a lead of 13,795 points.
The bridge contest was postponed
for the holidays.
