Marine Disaster.

Ship Rob't M. Sloman, Jarvis. (Of Castine which sailed from Gottenburg July 19th. for Boston, with a cargo of iron, and about fifty emigrants, was stranded on the 24th, on Horns Reef. three miles and a half from land. The ship had sprung a leak at sea, and the captain thought of taking her to Hamburg for repairs. and to forward the passengers by another ship. She lies in three and a half fathoms. with the forecastle above water. The passengers were all saved on the day after stranding. by Capt. Olesen of Mandal, who to accomplish which, threw his deckload overboard and on the following day returned and saved part of the sails.

On the 27th no fears were entertained for the safety of the crew, then on board. who, however, saved themselves in the ship's boat.
