We hear from Newport, Rhode Island, that on Wednesday last came on the Trial of the four Pirates committed to that Goal about four Months since, for the Sea Robbery perpetrated on Capt Honey, of the Schooner Francis. (as mentioned formerly) and after a hearing of two or three Days, the Mate Samuel Parks, and one Foremast man viz. Benjamin Hawkins, pleaded the King's Mercy; and were sentenc'd to be hung on Thursday the 21st Day of August next. William Devine (turning King's Evidence) and a Lad named John Gibbs, were acquitted, no Act of Piracy being found against the latter.
