COMMUNICATION.

The lovers of the Drama are likely to be gratified by the representations of this evening. That celebrated play of the "Merchant of Venice," so admirably drawn by the master pen of Shakespeare, to arouse the sensibilities of an audience, and excite, in all their force, hope, fear, pity, indignation, abhorrence, and the various other feelings of the heart, has a fair chance of being well performed, from the manner in which the different characters are cast. Shylock, we understand, was, on the English stage, considered Mr. Finn's best part. Mr. Woodin Bassanio, and Mr. Jefferson in Gratiano, cannot fail to give satisfaction; whilst Launcelot, under the management of Mr. Blisset, must draw forth mirth, if merriment have not deserted us.

The Anatomist, or Sham Doctor, is a translation of the Crispin Medicin of Moliere; and the part of Le Medicin, which is to be performed by Mr. Blisset, is one of the most humorous of that excellent and eccentric writer.
