The Senate has concurred in Sargent's amendments to the Omnibus Appropriation bill, increasing them for San Francisco Appraiser's stores to $100,000, as urged by Piper in the House, and providing $200,000 for the Mare Island dry dock. The Senate also agreed to amendments in appropriating $40,000 for surveying public lands in California, $50,000 for Oregon, $150,000 for Nevada, $10,000 for Washington, and $10,000 for Arizona; also, $5,000 for incidental expenses for the office of Surveyor General of California, and from $1,500 to $2,000 for each of the other Pacific States and Territories.
