Full Text

It was a sad mistake of Griswold when he moved to extend the enquiry concerning Pickering to other defaulters--he may be said to have set the trap that caught the old rat Tracy!

The anti-republicans, one happy faculty-they have hitherto succeeded in bringing every person supposed by them into disrepute; and of bringing into repute every person and thing that they have opposed or reviled---
They praised John Adams till he was forced to fly by night to Braintree.
And they abused Thomas Jefferson till they forced him into the executive chair.
The contrast might be continued through several columns.
