SALVATION ARMY HAS NEW HEAD

Capt. Clyde Green in Charge of Putnam Corps.-Came From New Haven Succeeds Adi. and Mrs. Mark Forward Who Have Gone to Maine

Captain Clyde Green has been made commanding officer of the Putnam Corps of the Salvation Army to succeed Adjutant and Mrs Mark Forward. according to an announcement made this week. Captain Green took charge this week. Adjutant and Mrs. Forward have been transferred temporarily to Augusta, Maine.

Lt Carl Anderson has been named assistant to Captain Green here in Putnam. Both officers are graduates of the Salvation Army Training College in New York City. Captain Green came to Putnam from New Haven where he had been assistant for some time in the corps there. Lt. Anderson was transferred to this city from Lawrence. Mass., where he held a similar position. Captain Green entered the Army from Holyoke, Mass., and Lt. Anderson entered from Portland, Maine,

Both men are splendid musicians and exceptional speakers. Both young men. it is quite evident that the Corps in this city will go forward. Captain Green has been an officer for three years and Lt Anderson has held his rank for one year.
