Richard Emerson, sixteen years of age, of Chicago, died at Kenosha, Wis., of hydrophobia. He was bitten about two months ago by a pet dog belonging to the family, and thought the animal showed no signs of madness. The father called a physician and had the wound cauterized. Nothing more was thought of the matter and the lad came to Kenosha to visit. He commenced complaining of a swelling in his arm and a physician was summoned, who pronounced it a case of hydrophobia. The lad grew rapidly worse and became very violent.
