THE BLUE LEDGE.—In the Second East Range, which bounds Pleasant Valley on the east, and is in fact a continuation of the range of mountains which ends abruptly three or four miles east of this place, a silver bearing lead was discovered some time since. It is situated east of Hillbeer's ranch, near Golconda Peak, and in consequence of the bright blue color of the ore, was named the Blue Ledge. It is owned by James Watt, H. H. Smith, George Lambertson and perhaps others. Shortly after the discovery a lot of the ore was worked at the Humboldt Reduction Works, and is said to have paid well. Since then work on the claim has suspended, but was recently been resumed. George Lambertson, who was in town yesterday, informs us that the owners have extracted a large pile of ore since work was resumed, a load of which they intend to bring here soon to have reduced. He says the ledge is four feet thick, and the rich streak from eight to twelve inches wide. A specimen of the ore brought here by him is unmistakably rich and contains both sulphurets and chloride of silver.
