The Nevada.
While all the fluster and excitement in Hawthorne District is concentrated on the new gold discoveries, the modest Nevada mine, an old location, has been keeping a large vein of rich ore for the entertainment of those who pass that way. Opened before working conveniences were to be obtained, the owner contented himself with proving the value of his property and placing it in condition for working when the proper time arrived. He has a shaft sixty feet deep and a ledge which is over five feet in width, carrying an excellent assay value all through. It will soon be either worked by Mr. Adams or sold to some San Francisco parties and its output will add bars of bullion to the freight traffic of the C. & C.
