New York Yankees Hold
'Very Confused Drill'

ASBURY PARK, N. J., March 29.
-As a temporary experiment,

Manager Joe McCarthy of the
New York Yankees used Pitcher-
First Baseman-Outfielder Johnny
Lindell at third base during in-
field drill today.

Bill Johnson shifted from third
to short, Ossie Grimes stayed at
second and Nick Etten at first
while Outfielder Tuck Stainback
stayed in the reserve line.
And
just to make matters a little more
confusing, Catcher Rollie Hemsley
also took a workout at third base.
