The Indian Troubles.

Cincinnati, O., October 4.—A special despatch to the Commercial from Kansas City has the following: A gentleman from Lower New Mexico says the Apaches are on the war path. One day last week they attacked a settlement of whites, killed twenty-five men and stole a number of horses. These are the same red-skins who committed so much devilment last year, and Gen. Hatch, in command of the United States troops, proposes to punish them severely. His regiment is not half sufficient to furnish protection to the whites in that section, and it is reported more troops will be ordered to assist him. The recent outbreak occurred near Silver City.
