Have your Gazette N°. 45, wherein it appears, that Col. Spotswood has parented a Child, in copying a Fable for an Answer to my Hint, in N°. 48; and he has done it so much to the Life, that none but Children will make the Comparison in his Favour; for it is Col. Spotswood that was so hardy as to Bray against the Burgesses, with hopes they wou'd not be so severe, as to exert their Power against him, as may be seen in Gazette N. 14; and all impartial Men will compare the House of Burgesses to the Lion, in the Fable, who are stronger in Power than any single Subject in the Colony. As a Man of Parts may be impaired, and justly compared to a Child; so he that was as cunning as a Fox, may now be as foolish as an Ass. Pray insert this in your next Paper, and you will oblige
