SECOND DAY
Carson, January 8.
Senate.
The Senate met at 11 A. M., and organized by the election of Charles F. Bicknell, Secretary; A. K. Lamb, Sergeant-at-Arms; Joseph Josephs, Engrossing Clerk, and Rev. Mr. Allen, Chaplain.
Thompson offered a resolution of indefinite postponement of action in the case of the contested White Pine seats.
McClinton opposed this summary disposal; and after discussion, the Senate adjourned to 2 P. M.
House.
The Committee on Elections appointed consists of Crawford, Elsey, Wallace, Smith and Lappin.
A Committee on Mileage was appointed.
Adjourned till 2 P. M.
Senate.
Reassembled at 2 P. M. A resolution to postpone the consideration of the contested election case was tabled temporarily.
The Governor's message was presented and one thousand copies ordered printed.
Adjourned.
House.
Grey introduced a concurrent resolution instructing our Representatives in Congress to endeavor to secure a reduction of freights and fares on the C. P. Railroad.
The reading of the Governor's message was commenced.
