Services at the Bethel AME Church began with Sunday School at 9:50 A.M., Assistant Superintendent Harold . McArthur in charge. Acting Supt. Jessie Bodison reviewed the classes.
All students are urged to attend the Easter program rehearsal on Monday evening at 5 o'clock.
The morning services were largely attended. Pastor Wilson brought an inspiring sermon from the subject, "Asleep At the Place of Prayer". The hearts of his listeners were made to burn within as he talked out of God's word Three young persons were baptized.
The evening services began at 7 p.m. when again Pastor Wilson brought a message which will serve as food upon which our souls may feast throughout the week.
The Pastor's Aid Board sponsored a Silver Tea at 4 P.M. which was quite a treat. The president and members thank all persons who helped to make it a success.
We were happy to have some of our sick members improved and able to attend the services, among them Mrs. A. B. Wilson and Willie Jones, who attended on Sunday. Many visitors worshipped with us. We are grateful for your presence and extend you an invitation to worship with us at all times.
The pastor is urging all members to support the Spring Drive in April. Remember the sick and shut-in of the church. Rev, A. B. Wilson, minister; Mrs. H. S. Stringer, reporter.
