THE PENTOGA ROAD.

Contractor Has Finished the Clearing of the West End.

Alex Morrell of Crystal Falls, who has the contract to clear the right-of-way for the Pentoga road finished his work last Tuesday and moved to some other work that he has on hand clearing land between here and Crystal Falls for the food committee of that place.

Mr. Morrell hasn't burned his waste material yet and states that he will not do so until danger of fire running off the right-of-way has ceased.

The east end of the road was let to Mr. Bradley, Mr. Morrell having only the portion between Buck lake and Indian lake. It is probable that the township board will let the work of grubbing this road soon as the bargain with the county is that the road shall be cleared and grubbed by the township and then taken over by the county road commission.
