PHILADELPHIA-(ANP)- Little Joyce Fields, who was borrowed from her mother last Friday and not returned, was brought back by a small boy late Thursday night and given to her mother, Mrs. Catherine Fields.
When interviewed, Mrs. Fields said that Joyce did not seem harmed in anyway but she had lost considerable weight.
The name or identity of the boy was unknown to the happy mother. She said all she was interested in was the safety of Joyce. She said she did not ask the boy any questions.
A woman named Toni Delandis, wearing tattoos on her arm was permitted to take Joyce to give her some clothes. She left with the baby about 2 p. m. When she did not return that night, Mrs. Field notified police officers.
Detective William F. Peterson of the Second Detective division had been assigned to the case.
