ANOTHER CALUMNY EXPOSED.—The following article, from the U. S. Telegraph, puts to rest the Benton affair, which forms a prominent part of Binns's Coffin Handbill.

'While the nomination of Gen. Porter was pending in the Senate, it was opposed by Major Eaton, who held in his hand a copy of the Albany Address published with the name of Gen. Porter as Chairman. Major Eaton handed it to Mr. Benton, and pointed out that part of the address which refers to the attack on Mr. B. by Gen. Jackson. Mr. Benton wrote on the paper, "IT IS AN INFAMOUS FALSEHOOD.—'F. H. B." This was furnished us by Maj. Eaton.'
