Mayor Struve has been requested by a score or more former subjects of her Majesty, Queen Victoria, to invite the Marquis of Lorne and the Princess Louise to visit Seattle. We also understand that in case the distinguished party should visit Oregon and Washington, the O. R. & N. and N. P. officials have been instructed to place every facility at their command, to decorate in the finest manner cars and steamers and to do all in their power to gratify their guests—all at the expense of the companies.
