I have always admired the very excellent manner in which the members of the several Church choirs in this place have performed their music, and the pleasing and appropriate airs, they are ever ready to produce on all occasions. In all places where this peculiar branch of church worship is properly attended to, we find the most solemn and imposing ceremonies connected with our sweet and holy communion observed and respected. It is an instrument by which our hearts are awakened to participate in the solemn worship of God, and fitted to join in the holy exercises—to realize those heavenly strains which angels are ever singing to the praise of the Great I AM—and which also tends to increase our refinement, and promote our religious exaltation,
