Buffalo, Aug. 12.

Hurricane At Maumee City, Ohio.—On Wednesday afternoon it commenced raining and hailing, gradually at first, and finally resulted in a terrific hail storm, intermingled with thunder and lightning, which lasted about fifteen minutes, spreading devastation and ruin in its course, to the no little surprise and agitation of many of the good people of said place. The windows on the west side of buildings were completely broken out, gardens destroyed, fruit materially injured, and crops of all kinds greatly damaged. Those that witnessed a similar storm in 1841, say that this storm was more severe—the hail stones being much larger. Some were gathered up after the storm, about the size of a common hen's egg and nearly all were as large as robins' eggs.—Buffalo Com. Adv.
