The polls were opened at seven o'clock this morning for our Municipal Election. A Citizens' Ticket was made up at the public meeting on Thursday night last, as follows:
For Intendant—Horace Harby—
For Wardens—Richard P. Monaghan, James M. Epperson, Myles Moran, and Donald J. Auld.
The opposing ticket consists of Horace Harby (our candidate,) for Intendant, and M. F. Mewson for Warden. As it requires four Wardens to make a complete ticket, and to administer the affairs of the Town, we suppose that when Hewson nominated himself he regarded the candidate as possessing the importance and ability of the usual four. Such presumption has rarely been equalled in this country.
Although the issue can only be guessed at the hour of going to press, yet there is full confidence of a victory for the Citizens Ticket.
