ANNAPOLIS in Maryland, Dec. 20.

Saturday Evening last, a little after dark, as Mr. Hewit, of this Town, was coming home from Prince-George's County, alone, at a little Distance on this Side South River, there suddenly rushed out, from the Thickets of Pines, Two Men, one from each Side the Road, in order to seize him, crying out, "Stop you Son of a Bitch," and one of them aimed at his Bridle, but missed his Catch, which much frightened his Horse, who sprung from them, and by pushing along the Road, he got safe home.
