REHEARING LIKELY IN MONOPOLY CASE

On the Ground That Full Bench Had Not Passed on Matter, New Trial Will Be Demanded.

(By Evening Herald A. P. Leased Wire)

Washington, March 12.—Attorney General Wickersham indicated today that there is a strong likelihood of a re-hearing being asked of the supreme court in the "patent monopoly" case, decided yesterday by a divided bench, four to three.

He said he had taken the matter up with the parties at issue.

The government, not being a party to the suit, can act only through the defeated parties. The re-hearing would be asked on the ground that a full bench had not passed on the case.
