Telling Knudsen

Dear Editor:—The GMC president, speaking in Boston, said men who band together on the basis of craft unions had some sense because the idea is hundreds of years old.

Well, Mr. Knudsen, it also has taken the workers that long to realize they have been asleep for a good many years. In your statement you say the craftsman should not concern himself with the man who pushes a truck. I have a hunch you have been drinking with Bill Green and you would like us to join the AFL. He also states there is a class cleavage between capital and labor. Yet in the same breath he plays one worker against the other. GM wanted Landon. We gave them Roosevelt. Now they want Bill Green and the AFL. We, the UAW are for John L. Lewis and our great leader. Homer Martin, 100 per cent.
