Named To Vet Hospital Post

John J. Cox, chief of the post-graduate and in-service training division of the Veterans Administration department of medicine and surgery in Washington, D. C., has been reassigned as special assistant to the manager of the VA hospital in Boston, VA announced.

Mr. Cox will be stationed at the Boston hospital for training and then will be assigned to administrative duties at VA hospital.

A purple heart, naval veteran of World War II, Mr. Cox joined VA in April 1946 as executive officer in the research and education service, department of medicine and surgery, in Washington.

During World War II, he served with the Navy on the island of Saipan and was wounded in an engagement with the enemy.
