BRUSSELS, Belgium--The Eisenhower Administration is getting a protest against its proposal to extend military and economic aid to Spain "while human rights are denied the Spanish people as a whole and trade union rights to Spanish workers."
International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, representing 54 million workers throughout the world and with the AFL, CIO and United Mine Workers as affiliates in the U. S., recently voted to send a deputation of trade union leaders to Washington to protest the move.
The ICFTU also said it would register a formal complaint with the United Nations on suppression of trade union rights in Spain. Last year, a similar complaint against the Soviet Union was brought before the UN Economic and Social Council.
