ABERDEEN GETS FRANCHISE: ALL LEADERS HAPPY

ABERDEEN, March 30.—Magnates of the Pacific Coast International league adjourned last night after a two day session in which everything was cleaned up preparatory to the opening of league baseball in the Northwest. And for a wonder, every director in the circuit is satisfied. All differences were swept aside and the magnates yesterday turned their efforts to building up the league and getting ready for a banner season.

Butte was voted out of the league, and Aberdeen admitted. Two Seattle men, John J. Sullivan, well known Seattle lawyer, and Capt. Charles Sullivan, secretary to Police Chief Warren, received the Aberdeen franchise. Three men had been seeking a franchise for Camp Lewis, but took the Aberdeen assignment joyfully. They are already getting busy with their team, and both Tealey Raymond and Dick Egan are mentioned as possible playing managers.

Spokane plays at Tacoma on the opening day. Tacoma also gets two holiday dates, Vancouver playing there on Decoration day and Aberdeen on the Fourth of July.

Ball games will start at 4 o'clock, because of the daylight saving law, and in this way many persons can see games without interfering with their work.

At least three games each week will be played at Camp Lewis, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. One of the league teams will play the all-star soldier team on those days. This means that one league club will be idle part of each week, while its scheduled opponent is playing at camp. The sacrifice by the league is made for patriotic reasons.
