We hear that Capt. Frost and one Mr. Grant of Rhode-Island, Master and Mate of a Schooner on the Coast of Guinea, being having to the Leeward, the Slaves took an Opportunity to knock the Captain overboard and drowned him, they then went into the Cabin where the Mate lay sick, and cut his Throat; there being but two white Lads, not 16 Years old, belonging to the Vessel, who were ashore, they immediately put off, and with great Resolution took Possession of the Vessel; upon which one half of the Slaves jump'd overboard; the rest they secured and carried with the Vessel safe into the Port on the Coast where she belonged: The whole Number of Slaves on board were between 50 and 60.---This Account came by a Vessel arrived at Newport from the Coast.
