Business earnings and the increased productivity of workers make it possible for thousands of firms to raise wages without increasing prices.

"A return to collective bargaining is the only way that wages in each plant can be raised according to the employer's ability to pay... It is useless and destructive to put off the necessary wage adjustment until V-E day with its layoffs and confusion.
