JOHN SHIELDS, Jun. second son of
Mr. John Shields, of this city, was assaulted
by four ruffians in Front street, near the
Auction Store of Edward Fox. Esq. He
made all the resistance in the power of a youth
of fifteen ;--finding himself overpowered by
numbers, he endeavored to escape; one of
the fellows pursued him, threw him, jumped
on his leg and broke it. Any person that
can give any information of the name or place
of abode of any of the four, will confer a
favor by calling at No. 22. Chestnut street.
