COLOR BIASED TEACHER FIRED

PEPPERELL, MASS - Because of her alleged color bias in a recent basketball game between Pepperell and Ayer High School, Mrs. Robert A Newhall was ousted as girls' basketball coach at the Pepperell school.

The School Committee this week appointed her husband to the job. He is a native of Pepperell. His young attractive wife, a Southerner, hails from Oklahoma. In retiring her from the coaching job the school committee, composed of Guy Murchie, Sidney Mason and Miss Lucy Spring, attributed their action to "lack of convincing evidence of having changed her attitude of color prejudice."
