As one of the early autumn projects a baby and sunbeam contest was held at the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, 1402 S. 11 Avenue last week. Final collections and prizes were announced under the co-sponsorship of Mmes. M. Pete and Etta Flowers.

Pictured above are contestants and sponsoring mothers, including: Annette Flowers, Mrs. Etta Flowers, Morris Washington, Mrs. Nancy Washington, Larry Bowens, Mrs. Detter Bowens, Glen Washington, Jackie Platt, Mrs. Carlene Platt, Geraldine Murphy, Mrs. C. Murphy, Gwendolyn Pete, and Mrs. M. Pete.

First prize in the baby contest was won by Morris Washington with a total of seventeen dollars.

Little Glen Washington was first place winner in the sunbeam group with a total of $24.50. Jackie Platt placed second with $21.16.

Total raised for the project was $150.46.
