Full Text

The St. Louis Democrat, Radical, says the Missouri Legislature has been in session 31 days. At the close of its fatiguing labor the product is the passage of two bills and a dozen concurrent resolutions. It is true, a large number of bills are on their second reading and before committees, but the final disposition of them is yet to come. The legislation thus far accomplished has cost the State not less than $72,000. It is proposed by some to adjourn about the 1st of March, and hold an adjourned session in the fall. This may be wisdom, but it dont look like economy or retrenchment either.
