LATE AND IMPORTANT
NEWS:
By the mail of last evening from New York, we received the following most important intelligence. Two vessels have arrived at that place, one bringing London papers to the 29th of October, and the other French papers to the 5th October. We translate the following from a Bordeaux print—

OFFICIAL INTELLIGENCE,
announcing the capture of the Austrian General Mack, the Surrender of Ulm, and the taking of above Thirty Thousand prisoners.
Paris, 2 Brumaire (Oct.23.)
On the 22d Vendemiaire (Oct. 13) the marshal Soult took possession of Memmingen where he made six thousand prisoners.
In the mean time his Imperial Majesty had surrounded Ulm with his main army.
The Austrians had concentrated at Ulm their whole force, with the exception of a body of 20,000 men commanded by prince Ferdinand, who had endeavored to reach Bohemia.
In the night between the 25th and 26th Ulm capitulated : general Mack, with seventeen generals and twenty thousand men, have been made prisoners of war.
The prince Murat overtook on the 24th the rear guard of the column which left Ulm on the 21st : he has made 3,000 prisoners ; on the 26th the whole body laid down their arms.
Bavaria is entirely evacuated ; the Marshal Bernadotte has carried the advance posts on the Inn. It was expected at head quarters: that his Majesty the Emperor would leave Ulm for Augsbury the 28th.
