Full Text

Bridge.

A new plan for constructing a bridge across the river at this place is proposed in the very able communication from our friend Southsider. The plan strikes us as infinitely preferable to that of the 'ten gruillemit n,' if stone can be made to work; but there is precisely the difficulty. There is danger of defeating the bridge entirely by a multiplicity of plans. The best plan is that which is surest to accomplish the object. We hope, at least, our people may not be split up into parties about the matter.

A new bridge construction plan across the local river is proposed by Southsider in a communication, viewed as superior to the 'ten gruillemit n' plan if stone proves workable, though difficulties exist; multiple plans risk failure and community division, with hope for unity on the best approach.
